With our program, applying uniform loads such as wind, dead, and collateral loads to steel structures in STAAD.Pro has never been easier. The entire process can be completed in a matter of minutes, saving you time and ensuring accuracy.
Steps for Applying Loads:
- Complete the wireframe model in STAAD.
- Open the StruTools application called “Smart Load Application.”
- For 3D models, the program can automatically calculate the tributary area.
- For 2D frames, manually input the tributary values.
- Use the Gravity Loads Tab to apply dead load, collateral loads, roof live, mezzanine dead, collateral, and live loads.
- To apply wind loads, switch to the Wind Load Tab.
- Select the members to which the gravity or wind loads need to be applied.
- Enter the load values in the corresponding fields.
- Specify the load case number.
- Click the load application button to apply the loads to the selected members.
- If desired, add calculation descriptions to the STAAD editor by clicking “Yes.”
- Done! The loads are applied seamlessly to the STAAD model.
Key Merits:
- Efficiency: No more spending excessive time on load application and description writing.
- Wind Loads Simplified: Fascia and end wall column wind loads can be applied without difficulty.
- Time-Saving: Loads are applied quickly and efficiently.
- Error-Free: Minimizes typing errors that can occur during manual input.
