What is StruTools?
StruTools is a growing collection of focused web applications for structural engineering calculations, model reading, CAD production, section data and project reporting.
What kinds of tasks can the website help with?
The live catalogue covers drawing generation, structural model utilities, calculation sheets, steel section searches, material schedules and related engineering workflows. The homepage search can find a tool by task, output or engineering term.
How are uploaded design files handled?
Files are processed only for the request you start. Temporary working files are isolated, automatically cleaned up and are not used as a permanent project archive.
Can StruTools recover an old generated file?
No. Please save downloaded drawings, reports and schedules with your own project records. Temporary processing files are removed, so StruTools cannot retrieve them later.
Is my engineering information sold or used for advertising profiles?
No. Uploaded engineering content is used to complete the requested workflow. StruTools does not sell design information or use it to build advertising profiles.
Does StruTools replace an engineer's review?
No. The applications reduce repetitive work, but a suitably qualified person must verify inputs, assumptions, calculations, drawings and suitability for the project and governing standards.
What happens if a process cannot finish?
The application displays a clear message and may offer a support reference containing useful technical context. It does not intentionally expose your design content or internal implementation details.
Does StruTools store my card information?
No. StruTools does not receive or store your full card number, card security code (CVC/CVV) or complete payment credentials. Paid purchases open a secure Stripe-hosted Checkout page, and Stripe sends StruTools only the payment confirmation needed to release the purchased download.
What is Stripe?
Stripe is a global online payment platform used by businesses to accept payments securely. StruTools uses Stripe Checkout, so your payment details are entered on a Stripe-hosted page over an encrypted connection rather than into a StruTools form. Stripe is certified as a PCI Service Provider Level 1, the highest PCI certification level. After payment, you return to StruTools and our server independently verifies the completed transaction before making the purchased file available. You can learn more on Stripe's security page.
What is Link?
Link is Stripe's optional digital wallet for faster checkout. If Stripe offers Link and you choose to use it, Link can securely save and reuse eligible payment methods after authentication. Link is separate from StruTools: you do not need a Link account to make a normal card payment, and StruTools cannot see or manage the payment details saved in Link. You can manage your saved details directly at Link.
Which browsers and devices work best?
A current desktop browser is recommended for detailed drawings and larger engineering tables. Mobile layouts are supported for browsing and simpler workflows, but available memory and screen size still matter.
