Using The Section Catalogue
Search by section designation, shape family or standard, then inspect the selected profile's dimensions and properties before using it elsewhere.
Choose The Right Record
Check the standard, series and designation together. Similar names across standards do not guarantee identical dimensions. The detail panel separates profile dimensions, unit mass and section properties, with individual unit choices.
Read Units Carefully
For example, an area of 10 cm² equals 1,000 mm², but a second moment of area of 10 cm⁴ equals 100,000 mm⁴. Length, area and fourth-power quantities need different conversion factors. Keep the displayed axis convention with the property you copy.
Compare, Then Verify
Similar-profile suggestions are starting points for comparison, not approved substitutions. Confirm the manufacturer's current dimensions, material grade and project requirements. A 1:1 DWG profile is a geometry reference; it does not verify a member's capacity or connection design.
