How to Calculate Canopy Wind Coefficient in StruSheets
Recreate the canopy spreadsheet: tributary width, span/3 and the log curve that produces the net canopy coefficient.
Open Canopy Wind Coefficient. Enter span, left and right tributary widths, qh, and the curve slope/intercept from the governing canopy figure.
Governing width is the larger of average tributary width and span/3. Area is converted to ft² before the logarithmic coefficient is applied. Net pressure is coefficient × qh.
